June:

10 - (MB) 11am Traveling Tales with Bizzie Vunderink - Join us for a program filled with hilarious stories as we travel with an accomplished storyteller.

11 - (BE) 1pm Music and Ice Cream Kick-off for our Summer Reading Program! Come have a good time!

11 - (KB) 2pm Paper Making - Turning recycled paper into new paper for art projects or creations. Presented by the Wilderness Center.

11 - (WC) 2pm Make a Homegrown Birdhouse - Marilyn Rehm will show us how to make a birdhouse out of a gourd.

11 - (WB) 2pm Make a Sock Puppet - Come into the library during program to create your very own sock puppet.

17 - (MB) 11am King Lion’s Gifts - How did zebra get its stripes? How did elephant get its tusks? Tales told by King Lion himself hold the answers.

18 - (WC) 11am Beading Class - Learn about a beading loom and cultures around the world that use beading for clothes, money, etc. We will make keychains.

18 - (BE) 1pm Make a Homegrown Birdhouse - Marilyn Rehm will show us how to make a birdhouse out of a gourd.

18 - (KB) 2pm Flower Garden in a Jar!

24 - (MB) 11am Colorful Days with Kimberly Payne - Be ready to put on your groove and move. Inspired by the Dr. Seuss classic “My Many Colored Days”.

25 - (WC) 11am Get Creative with Marty&Michele

25 - (BE) 1pm Box Bonanza - What Can You Do With a Box?

25 - (MB) 6pm Family Movie Night - This month’s movie stars Brendan Fraser and stories that come to life, based on the novel by Cornelia Funke. Rated PG


July:

1 - (MB) 1pm Make and Take Craft Day - Let your creativity shine! Make a craft at the library and take it home to enjoy.

2 - (BE) 1pm Get Creative with Marty&Michele

2 - (WC) Make&Take Magnetic Bookmarks

2 - (WB) 2pm Local Artist Cheryl Miller - Art by Cheryl Program with Local Artist and Illustrator.

2 - (KB) 3pm Get Creative with Marty&Michele

3 - Libraries Closed for Independence Day

4 - Libraries Closed for Independence Day

8 - (MB) 11am Get Creative with Marty & Michele

9 - (WC) 11am Recycled Art - We will be making crafts using all recycled items. Trash to Treasure.

9 - (BE) 1pm Zucchini Art - Make a face or animal out of vegetables!

9 - (WB) 2pm Make a Paper Quilt - Create individual paper quilting pieces to attach together to make a Summer Reading Program Paper Quilt to display.

9 - (KB) 2-6pm Make -it-Take-it. Come to the library and make a paper collage.

15 - (MB) Young’s Music ‘Petting Zoo’ - Listen to Brent Young play several instruments and tell you about them, then try them yourself during “petting zoo” time.

16 - (WC) 11am End of Summer Reading Party - Come Paint with us!

16 - (BE) 1pm End of Summer Reading Party - Art with Water Balloons and Pizza Treat! For all ages.

16 - (KB) 2pm We will end our 2009 Summer Reading Program with fun and games. We will be making an edible craft to enjoy!

16 - (WB) 2pm Crazy Dance Closing Party - Learn and perform a variety of “Crazy” dances...BunnyHop, ChickenDance, and Macarena just to name a few!
