2014 summer reading
June 2nd– July 30th
The Rub-a-dub-dub Club is summer reading fun and activities for your
little one, ages birth to 3 years old.
Reading to your baby not only creates a special bonding time together,
but also builds their brain power, helps them learn language,
encourages speech and prepares them to be readers.
The club is split into two months, with each month featuring several early
literacy reading/activity suggestions
(Words, Storytelling, Loving Books, Using Books, Sounds, ABC’s).
Registration begins June 2nd.
Stop by the Children’s Desk at the Central Library or the East Branch
to register your child and pick-up your activities packet and reading record!
When the 1st log is complete, stop by the Central Library
or East Branch the last week of June or early July and receive a rubber duck*
for your child. You can pick up a 2nd reading record at this time.
Once the 2nd sheet is complete, bring the record in at the end of July or by
August 5th to receive a brand new board book*.
All reading records should be turned in by August 5th to receive prizes.
Parents or caregivers who return 2 reading records
will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.
*While supplies last. Prizes may be substituted
