The library records and the cemetery sign call this cemetery Drake’s Valley Cemetery; however, Google Maps has it labeled as Stout Cemetery. The coordinates are 40.612546, -82.172536 This cemetery is in Washington Township right off of SR 39. I saw it as I was traveling to Plum Run, which will be the next blog post.
There is a dirt drive coming up to the cemetery. Someone cuts the grass in the cemetery, but the grass in the middle of the lane is quite long. It was difficult to get my little Honda up there, but I did it. I wouldn’t recommend visiting this cemetery in the winter. There were many broken stones and some that were illegible.
