The Holmes County Historical Society and the Holmes County District Public Library presents:
Unusual and Mysterious Holmes County, Part 2
One of the most talked about and requested programs presented last year by the Holmes Co. Historical Society was Unusual and Mysterious Holmes County Part 1. This years program is a continuation of the popular series where you can learn of unusual sites and events that have happened in Holmes Co. The first part of this year’s program will highlight myth and legends from the Odell Lake area and unusual carved rocks found in Millersburg, plus updates on the Murray Tunnel, Stoney Crest and much more. The best part of the program is the audience participation where people are free to share their unusual and mysterious Holmes County stories. These are documented and mapped for future reference and eventually a DVD will be produced on all the shared stories. Last year’s event was a standing room overflow crowd so come early to get a seat. Only 120 people max will be allowed in however a second date for the presentation will be considered if we exceed our capacity. Nothing is too mysterious so come prepared to share your stories of unusual sites, events, UFO’s, Big Foot, myths, legends and more. The event takes place on Thurs. evening August 14in the Holmes Co. Library meeting room at 7:00. If you can not attend and would like to share a story please email it to [email protected] and we will include it in the program.
