Dr. Kristofco will be discussing the “how to of ‘make it new:'” strategies for creating poetry (and prose) embracing the creative imperative for all writers. He will also be reading from his newest collection, The Timekeeper’s Garden, published this past spring, and excerpts from his book of short stories scheduled to come out later this year.
Jack (former Dean and Professor of English at The University of Akron Wayne College) holds degrees from John Carroll University, Cleveland State University, Wright State University, and The Ohio State University. He has had more than six hundred poems and forty short stories appear in about two hundred publications. He has published three poetry collections (A Box of Stones, Portraits From the Pilgrimage, and most recently, The Timekeepers Garden). He has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize five times.
